PEAT is a property & casualty fund formed by the Texas Inter-local Cooperation Act to provide coverage for public schools, community colleges, and educational service centers. PEAT operates as a risk pool with "aggregate stop loss" protection backed by reinsurers rated "A" or better by AM Best.
